    Question

Does anyone know anything about a Panasonic VHS-C camera? I own a Panasonic NV-G1 and don't have the manual, and I don't know much about non-DV cameras, and so was wondering if anybody knew how to stop it's auto-light balance, because I need to turn it off or summit, or else I won't be able to produce a short film that I am about to start filming. If it's any help, it is 11 years old.

If it there is no manual light balance knob or button on the camera, you probably can't do anything about it. At the very least, you should be shooting S-VHS C rather than just VHS-C.

If you want to try and use your camera anyway, just keep some article of white clothing in every shot, and see if you like the result, and do plenty of lock off shots. Panning shots will give away the dreaded auto-color balance feature in a second.
